Bluetooth Watch Headset

Thursday, November 08, 2007

When I got my XDA Mini, a while back, I was really disappointed that I couldn’t use my wireless Bluetooth headset, as it seems, the XDA’s only drawback was that it couldn’t pair up with a Bluetooth headset. I suppose I haven’t had much use for the headset as of late, but still, a gadget’s a gadget I’m hoping that my next PDA will work out better in that regards, although I suppose I shouldn’t be fussy, I’m probably not gona use the headset anyway, but I did find something which caught my eye and most definitely want, even though it’s roughly £60 and I won’t be using it too often.

I have a suspicion that the future, near future, is going to have a lot more watch connected devices, just like in those childhood hero shows, set in the future I use to watch so enthusiastically as a child. I for one think that this is a brilliant idea, I don’t like to have to walk around with a headset on my ear, firstly because I feel a little silly, it’s not like I’m expecting dire phone calls 24 / 7 and also, coming from a crime infested country, well something about sporting anything electronic which can be easily grabbed just irks me.

Basically it’s a simple device. You get two different types of watches, analog or digital, in all sorts of colours. The actual earpiece is the face of the watch, which clips onto the ‘base’ you could call it, which is strapped to your wrist. When there’s an incoming call, you simply detach the hands free Bluetooth earpiece, which also has a soft rubber ear piece and once you’re done you just re-attach the unit back onto your wrist. You can use the Bluetooth Watch Headset for making calls too, just like with an ordinary Bluetooth Headset, only difference is that this one is able to rest on your arm and doubles as a watch. At least now you won’t misplace it

You’ll receive three different sizes of earplugs, an instruction manual, AC power adapter as well as a USB cable, for PC charging. A little pricey, I’ll admit, but it looks way kewl and a Christmas must have for any geek at heart!

Happy Shopping!
