USB Digital Photo Frame

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

We've been looking at getting one of these for the last couple of years. Mostly it was for my Gran, who would love it because it's easy to use. I set up her screen saver so that it runs through My Pictures but with me being so far away now, there’s no one to help her with the PC and no one to maintain it. It makes a great gift, it's a great idea.

If you think about it, not much gets done with your photo's other than printing out some of them and storing the rest on your PC. This is a perfect solution for those of you who want to display all your favourite photo's. And the quality of these digital photo frames are excellent, you wouldn't think so, but for this price it is good quality.

You can use many different types of memory cards as well as a memory stick. It also connects directly to your PC via USB. It can also be connected to your camera. It can hold anything between 50 and 80 pictures, depending on their size. Once uploaded, these pictures can be viewed either by a slideshow, thumbnails or individually. A very handy feature is the timer, so the digital photo frame will turn on and off during the day. It has a rechargeable internal battery which charges while the mains power is plugged in. Alternatively, just leave the AC adapter connected.

Happy shopping!
