Top 5 Christmas Present Ideas
Tuesday, November 27, 2007So I was thinking about my very large family back home & how lucky I am really that I moved so far away when I did. After all, I have 2 nephews, a niece and 3 cousins… all nearing their teens, except for one who is already a teenager. They are immediate family btw, we grew up very close to my aunts and grandparents… they’re like brothers and sisters to me. Anyway, this got me thinking what is the best gift to get a kid nowadays, even for adults actually. I mean, I know I would prefer something gadgety and electronic to say, a sweater
Now these aren’t in any specific order mind you.
Nintendo Wii – It was released last Christmas, but the Wii is still a hot topic and the fact that they’re releasing new add-ons for it at such a slow rate, just makes people want it even more. This is a good gift for the whole family. Some of the games can really be played by the whole family, like Wii Sports, which is fun and at least it’s one way to get your potato couch family to get some exercise
Xbox 360 – It’s a console… you can play online with other players. What’s not to love?
Playstation 3 – Pretty much the same deal as the Xbox 360 mentioned above. Consoles are always going to be hot on the market, kids or even adults, those who love gaming are always going to wana play on the latest console released.
Computer – Personally if my parents bought me a PC for Christmas, when I was younger, I’d have been the world’s most helpful teenager and would have done just about anything they asked without a fuss. Computers are just such an advantage for kids nowadays and parents should really get on board with this. Of course, for the younger kids, it does require you to monitor them, monitor the time they spend ton it, it can get addictive.
Digital Camera – You can’t really go wrong with a decent digital camera. Who wouldn’t want one of their own? Especially nowadays that they come standard with video and voice recording capabilities. A perfect way to capture all those happy memories!
Games Games Games! – With all these consoles and PC’s… don’t forget to stock up on games too. Here are some tips of a few:
World of Warcraft and
World of Warcraft – Three Years Later
Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games
City of Heroes
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
StarCraft II
The Sims 2: Bon Voyage
