When we first got here we really wanted a camcorder, but they were just too expensive. So when we found the DV Mini Digital Camcorder on eBay for £30 I was pretty excited. It’s compact, really light and the quality is ok for that price. It did what I needed at the time; it takes photos, video with sound and did not cost me an arm and a leg.

The DV Mini Digital Camcorder also acts as a webcam. We got a mini tripod for it and when it wasn’t propped up next to my PC, it went with me everywhere. It has digital voice regarding capabilities, with an embedded microphone. It has an external loudspeaker, enabling you to preview videos or voice recordings.

Other than being a camcorder, voice recorder and webcam, the DV Mini Digital Camcorder also acts as a digital camera.

It supports SD and MMC memory cards, which was very handy as we can share our memory cards between the DV Mini Digital Camcorder and mobile phones. It has 8MB onboard memory which won’t really get you very far, just a couple of photos.
