Challenge Cordless Drill
Monday, January 14, 2008As we use to work in a PC sales and repair business, a few years back, PC repairs, maintenance or upgrades have always been done by ourselves, at home. None of this over paying some one to do it ‘professionally’ supposedly. Anyway, not that they’re all just out to take advantage of the less informed, I’m sure there are a few honest IT guys out there not just looking to make a quick buck.
Anyhow, back to the matter on hand. Having access to a workshop all those years was most definitely advantageous. Blowers, electric screwdrivers, all sorts and sizes of screws you’ll ever need. It wasn’t too hard though, to eventually start making our own little workshop. Well kinda, we use to live in a flat which had an extra room and for a while it was our makeshift workshop / laundry room, now we just don’t have the space, so every so often, when needed, the tools get taken out and the PC opened up on the living room floor

I thought I’d give a quick mention to our Cordless Drill / Screwdriver which has definitely come in handy. I use to especially love taking old computers apart, removing each component, unscrewing each little screw. Hmmm I guess I would be quite happy working at a recycling centre. Anyway, the Challenge Cordless Drill was a great addition. It is affordable and so easy to use. With variable speeds, 16 torque settings, 10mm keyless chuck and a two piece double ended screwdriver bit, it replaced our whole collection of screwdrivers, from the smallest to the largest ones. We got some extra screwdriver bits for our Challenge Cordless Drill, but hardly ever use them, as the two piece double ended bit, which fits snugly onto the drill itself, usually does the job.
You’ll get a charger with your Challenge Cordless Drill and it’ll last you a good couple of hours. Also, depending on what type of material you want to drill through, the Challenge Cordless Drill could even be used to drill holes through wood, walls, etc. Again, always check the power needed for the desired materials and drill bits.
You can pick up a Challenge Cordless Drill for just under £10, even less if you find them on special.
