Ok so I’ve seen some seriously wacky PC and laptop accessories, from a USB humping dog to mini missile launchers and as some of them can be mildly entertaining, a few slightly useful and some just outright ridiculous, there are some which may seem wacky at first, but prove otherwise. A tent for your laptop? I guess not only does it sound ridiculous, but may seem impractical, especially for those of you who only use your laptop indoors at home, in the office or even on the train.

Well my initial reaction was that that’s a total waste of money, but the LapDome got me thinking. Growing up in a hot, sunny country, you do tend to find yourself outside at times, enjoying a sunny afternoon while taking on creeps online, fighting off zerg swarms, catching up on your emails, just enjoying a movie, finally start that long due novel or even just surfing mindlessly while attempting to soak up some of those rays.

Not always easy to sit outside when there’s sun though, I can barely see on my screen when its beating down through my closed curtains, never mind actually enjoying the grassy outdoors at the same time. But there are times I must admit, I’d love to spend the afternoon outside, but I guess there just isn’t much chance of me doing that without a PC

So if you would like to lug your laptop outdoors with you, perhaps use it to play some music while having a BBQ or chat with your buddies while relaxing outside, the LapDome is a carry case for your laptop, which transforms into a darkened, sheltered environment, which will slightly protect your precious baby from the elements and most definitely eliminate that annoying sunlight glare on your screen.

For around £15 I’d say it isn’t really worth it if you don’t plan on spending lots of time outdoors with your laptop or if you live in an area with lots of rain and not much pleasant weather… well, weather which you’d like to spend anytime in
