Toshiba G450 Mini-Phone/Modem

After almost a day and a half of no internet at home, I was about ready to go knock on my neighbours door and beg them to let me put a cable through the window It really made me realise how dependant to the net I’ve become. Not that I have to do anything specific at times, sometimes I don’t do much, but still, it’s the little things you take for granted, like using an online service to send my txt messages / sms from or doing a quick search when you get stuck on a DIY problem.

So this traumatising ordeal got me to thinking about alternative, or backup ways to connect and it brought me to the Toshiba G450 Mini-Phone/Modem. The little device intrigued me. So Toshiba has a new mobile phone, it’s quite small, around 36x98x16 mm and only weighs 57g. It’s got an interesting design, as you can see in the picture above and has dual keypads. It is in actual fact a four in one device, the others being a USB storage key / stick , an MP3 player and the best part, a USB modem for your PC or laptop.

So now you can use your mobile phone to connect your PC where ever you are, should you be in a non Wi-Fi area of course, or if you suddenly find yourself unconnected for the day

Great little device, I’m thinking my next phone will definitely have this feature.
