I-Tech Virtual Laser Keyboard
Wednesday, August 22, 2007I have recently started accumulating matching desktop items. Case, screens,
mouse, keyboard, webcam, headset and
printer / scanner / fax. Coincidentally, my recently acquired USB2.0 HD Enclosure also matches my desktop. I only seem to be having a slight problem with my new wireless keyboard, which I'll blog about in depth at a later stage, once I fix the problem. The I-Tech virtual laser keyboard is going to be a great addition though and seeing as my desk is always cluttered, not matter how often I tidy up or how hard I try to keep it clutter-free, the I-Tech virtual laser keyboard is a superb space saver.

The Virtual Laser Keyboard (VKB) uses laser as well as infrared technology, which generates an invisible field, projecting a virtual, full sized QWERTY keyboard. It is useable on almost any surface. The I-Tech virtual laser keyboard can also be used on any desktop PC, laptop or compatible
PDA’s and smartphones. This technology is based on optical recognition, enabling you to tap the key images, making the I-Tech virtual laser keyboard act like a real, full sized, 63 key computer keyboard. It even includes tapping sounds. This light projected keyboard gives new meaning to the word portable

The I-Tech virtual laser keyboard has a timeout feature, which conserves the battery life. There is also an adjustable sensitivity feature, enabling you to customize your new typing experience. You can connect the compatible devices either by Serial or
Bluetooth.

The I-Tech virtual laser keyboard is still a little pricey, but I do intend to make it a permanent fixture on my desk ASAP!
