I love the UK. Been in London for a couple of years now and I must say that I absolutely love it here. Technology is much more affordable and the cost of living is much better. There is only one thing about it which takes some getting use to. Space. If living in the city, you have to get use to living in a match box. I’m use to big, spacious houses, with huge backyards and front gardens, guest bedrooms, living room, dinning room, front porch! Even the small flats were bigger than there So we’ve had to do some serious re-arranging to our living area in our little top floor flat here. This weekend, after just about giving up hope on any space saving, we decided to give up our conventional, bulky CRT TV for a space saving flat screen. We decided not to go with those huge 42 inch screens which cost 2 months wages and bought a 19 inch flat screen TV, the Samsung Syncmaster 940mw. Not only has it hugely improved our space saving scheme, but I am totally surprised at how much I like it! The Samsung Syncmaster 940mw is definitely a great buy. It only set us back £249 and with our 3 month interest free Argos card, will have it paid in no time. It is really light, so was no bother getting it home ourselves, really easy to set up, I had it up and running in 10min.

The best feature of the Samsung Syncmaster 940mw is that it doubles as a LCD TV and a PC monitor! Compatible with either Windows or Macintosh. I was impressed after I switched it on, the picture is great. The sound quality is also 10 times better than the old CRT TV, it features built-in Virtual Dolby which is great for home or even office use. It’s also HD ready, so we won’t have to buy a new HD TV in the next couple of years.

The Samsung Syncmaster 940mw boasts Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture functionality. You can actually view two sources at the same time. The screen resolution is 1440 by 900. the contrast ratio is 700:1, which also outdid all the others available.

The Samsung Syncmaster 940mw has anti glare and is energy efficient. When lying in bed watching my late night series I now don’t have that annoying glare from the bedside lamp on the screen. Also, it doesn’t have standby, so I don’t have to get up and manually switch it off anymore, as it switches off completely whether I use the remote or the power button on the TV itself!

For the price I paid, I think that this is the best value TV we could have bought. It had the most features and the best quality. I’m extremely happy with it
