ATM Money Bank
Wednesday, August 22, 2007Ok so I got this very cute robotic piggy bank for a birthday present this year, I call him Steve. I thought it was a cute novelty item, so surfed a little, looking into this whole electronic piggy bank concept. The ATM Money Bank is a little pricey, but perhaps a good way of trying to instil some responsibility into younger kids or one of those "ooh a shiny thing" for the youthful geek to play around with

The ATM Money Bank is basically a high tech piggy bank. It works with a pin and card and as it's electronic, even keeps count of the money you put in, so you can always tell how much you have left. The coin recognition system identifies each coin inserted, but unfortunately the notes are not automatically recognised, (hey it only costs around 20 quid!) so you'll have to insert that manually. The ATM Money Bank lets you have a savings target and will alert you when it has been made or you could just check your balance. All the transactions are logged and it has a LCD screen where you can check all these happenings. But in order to withdraw or even just check your balance, youll need your access card and four digit pin code. I think this might be a fun way of teaching younger kids all about ATM's, banks and such. And it's fun
The ATM Money Bank also has calendar, clock and alarm clock, which you can set to remind you to add to your savings. It uses 3 x AAA batteries, which are included.
Happy Shopping!
