Six Sensor Auto Dial Alarm with Remote Control
Wednesday, August 22, 2007I've lived in many different places and I have to say that the UK so far has surprised me, seeing as people are not as aware of their own safety, as in so many other countries. I think that home security is very important, and more people should use home alarms or burglar bars. I know it can get quite costly, but there are a few cheaper alternatives. I think I’ll spend the next few days reviewing a few of these alternatives, as we’re moving in a few weeks, I’m looking for some thing for myself as well
There are some really nice, very gadgety types which have intercoms and built in cameras and all that, but the first one I’m gona look at is a more simple one. Only because this is the type of one I want for myself. Now like I’ve told my better half, we need something which won’t only make noise, cause most intruders might not be scared off by just noise, we need to be notified and if paying a professional security company is out of your budget, the next best thing is still pretty affordable. The Six Sensor Auto Dial Alarm is ideal, as you can program up to 6 numbers to be dialled in the event of one of the sensors go off. You do actually get other types of home alarms, which will also dial programmed numbers which is just one large motion sensor, which is ok for say a one room or studio flat. What I like with this one though, is that there are 6 magnetic detectors which you can attach to doors and windows which will trigger the alarm. So I suppose your choice between the two depends on your accommodation, but there features are very similar.

The Six Sensor Auto Dial Alarm will dial up to 6 numbers, which you have to program before hand and a message will be played, which you also have to pre-record. There is a wireless transmission between the magnetic detectors, main control panel and remote control. Oh yes, the Six Sensor Auto Dial Alarm comes with two remote controls, to arm and disarm the alarm. The remote control also has an alarm button, in case of an emergency and you’re alone at home, like a panic button. The main control panel will give a short, quick sound every minute and the alarm speaker will sound continuously should there be a power failure.
Included with your Six Sensor Auto Dial Alarm, you’ll receive a mains unit, 1 x siren, 2 x remote controls and 6 x door and window magnetic sensors. It operates with 3 x AA batteries, which will not be included. You can pick this up for around £30 if you shop around online. I think I’ll definitely be investing in this.
