So keeping with the theme for this week, home security, I’ve found this really great intercom system, for your front door. The Colour Video Intercom Door Entry System Security CCTV is well, just that Basically it’s an intercom system with a security CCTV camera outside allowing you to see who’s outside and talk to them, without opening your front door. I guess it’d be pretty pointless for me really, with the small flat and all, but definitely something I’d buy if I were living in a bigger house. Actually, come to think of it, I have family who are living in a very dangerous country and they all have very large houses, as they’re all pretty well off and these systems there are terribly expensive. I might try a couple of these as christmas presents or something this year.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. The CCTV colour security camera has a built in doorbell. This will chime on the intercom’s monitor, a built in 4” TFT screen and once the bell is pushed, the camera automatically turns on. The intercom itself has the monitor, a handset which allows you to speak to your visitor, a button which will activate the camera at any time (in case you hear suspicious activity outside) as well as a door release button. This is for the electric release button which you can buy separately. This Electric Lock System is very nice and I think a must have addition to the Colour Video Intercom Door Entry System Security CCTV, you can change the release time from 1 sec up to 20 sec.

Up to four Video Monitor Handsets can be connected in one building, each being able to unlock the electric lock (should you have it installed) and each being able to connect to the camera. So you’ll be able to answer your door from anywhere in the house. Oh and as a little added bonus, the handset intercoms are all also able to connect to one another, so you can talk to each other throughout the house. It’s very easy to set up, no need for any extra expensive cables. It comes with the intercom (with built in monitor), CCTV camera and all the fittings and cables necessary. Just put it up, plug it in and you’re good to go. Guess this work’s just as well for any business too.
