So last year we decided to go wireless and bought the D-Link DSL-G624T 54Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ router, (here's the original link} which wasn’t too expensive and at first worked just fine. But after reading some reviews on it, I started to worry that it’d start giving problems. But it seems that it does act differently for different people. Just one of those things, computers sometimes seem as if they have a mind of their own, don’t they?

Anyway, after having to reinstall our wireless network (which was so easy & as a side note, is pretty user friendly), the damn thing started giving us problems! It does time out every so often, disconnecting your internet connection and then you have to restart the router. Plug it out, give it 30 seconds and plug it back in. Then, you gotta wait a while, around a minute or so, for it to reconnect. But, and this is one annoying catch, once it’s re-connected only the LAN users will be connected, not the wireless. The wireless LED won’t be on. Same thing, restart it and then it’ll be fine.

This happens daily, mostly and it’s frustrating. Each morning I try to update sites and it’s such a hassle as my FTP times out half way. We’re in the process of getting a new ISP and along with that, a new wireless router & all I can say is thank goodness cause I’m going nuts with this thing! The D-Link DSL-G624T 54Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ router is a waste of money, trust me!
